At the break this morning, grains are stronger. Seeing volatility in KC Wheat, up 14 cents after yesterday’s 18 cent loss. Corn is up 4 cents and beans are unchanged.
Demand stays heavy for U.S corn due to strong ethanol and feed use.
USDA pegged winter wheat harvest at 51% complete. Spring wheat conditions were dropped by 1% to 77% G/E.
Seeing some strength in corn after yesterday’s crop condition’s report dropped G/E ratings by 1%, and shifted 1% in P/VP. USDA says 17% of the crop is silking.
USDA lowered the soybean crop ratings 2% to 71% G/E from 73% last week. They estimate that 27% of the crop is blooming.
CBOT closes today at 12:05 p.m. and will resume trading July 5th at 8:30 a.m.
